Over the years OUTtv has worked and will always continue working to donate and support European Prides and LGBTQ+ organizations, events and filmmakers.
As one of the largest non-governmental organizations globally, Human Rights Watch conducts research and advocacy on human rights worldwide. OUTtv co-operates with HRW to publish their reports on LGBT+ issues via all OUTtv channels to bring awareness and pressure to those with power to respect rights and secure justice. OUTtv is proud partner & sponsor of the Human Rights Weekend.
OUTtv is financial sponsor of the annual Diversity Ball in Vienna. The aim is to create a cosmopolitan culture of diversity in which we let each other be who we are. During the ball we want to set an example together for the colourfulness of our society, for tolerance, accessibility and mutual respect. The Diversity Ball is the most colourful and accessible ball of the year and is a visible sign of diversity. Gender, age, religion, origin and ‘disability’, the Diversity Ball makes it clear: Even if we are all different and unique, there is a lot that connects us.

LGBTQ+ film festivals & filmmakers
LGBTQ+ representation in theatre, film & TV is still so important. As when there is a lack of proper representation, it makes way for those willing to do it – usually straight, white, cisgender men in suits. The pervasive stereotypes given to the LGBT+ community are – still – the fabulously fashionable yet vapid gay man, the boring lesbian who dies, the greedy indecisive bisexual, the predatory trans woman and the non-existent trans man. The real stories need to be shown at festivals, cinema’s, on TV and online platforms. OUTtv supports LGBTQ+ Film festivals and filmmakers from all over the world with funding, equipment or with marketing expertise in order to keep getting stories created that need be told and seen on festivals by as many people possible, so we are able to make a difference.
LGBTQ+ Filmfestivals OUTtv supported are the IDFA Queerday, Movies That Matter Festival, FIRE Int. LGBT Filmfestival, Roze Filmdagen, Human Rights Weekend, Transcreen Film Festival, LesGaiCineMad and Mezipatra.
Workplace Diversity Matters
Diversity comes in a variety of forms, such as sexual orientations, gender, ethnicity, as well as socioeconomic, academic and professional backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Diversity can also be found in religions, national origins and mental and physical abilities, — and this isn't even a full comprehensive list. OUTtv values diversity and knows it’s necessary to continuously innovate and keep learning in order to become a fully inclusive space for both our teams and our viewers.
Keeping informed & Volunteering in the LGBTQ+ community
At OUTtv, we keep ourselves informed and educated by various LGBTQ+ organizations, as OUTtv carries a social responsibility to tell stories in the correct way. From meetings with Transgender Networks, presentations of LGBTQ+ refugees, AIDS & HIV updates, LGBTQ+ rights and Human Rights seminars and lectures, this is a main scope within our company for all employees. This often leads to our employees, no matter the position within our company, to start volunteering for LGBTQ+ organizations.
