The Danish capital and Swedish Malmö are only 15 minutes commute apart. Lars Henriksen, head of Copenhagen Pride, made the announcement past weekend during the World Pride in New York. “We hope that you will join us in two years to write the next chapter of our history.”

He continued: “Our counties have a proud history of advocating and celebrating equality. World Pride 2021 will continue this beautiful tradition by shedding a light on the obstacles LGBT+ people have to overcome every day.”

The organizers expect at least 750.000 visitors form European countries in addition to a few thousand for the EuroGames event held at the same time. Festival goers can expect 11 days full of open air concerts, art exhibitions and movie screenings. Most of the activities will be free of charge. “We strive to make sure everyone, no matter who they love, feels included.”

About 3 million people visited New York last weekend for the World Pride this year. The parade was centered around the 50 year anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
