The Russian news website OpenMedia reports that in St. Petersburg, the number of people who wish to get tested doubled. "If usually 50–70 people per day come to us, then in recent days there have been much more - up to 140-150 people," says Denis Gusev of the Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious diseases. “We expect this wave to stretch: more people will watch this film, more will think about their health. Dudu managed to reach people," he said.

Dud’s video focuses on the HIV epidemic in Russia. As of now, the video has been viewed over 13,5 million times. Generally speaking, HIV and AIDS are considered to be a great taboo in Russia, despite the relatively large number of infections in the country. According to UNAIDS, the number of new infections in 2017 was around 100,000. Since 2010, the number of annual infections has risen by 26,000.

"People living with HIV in Russia are constantly victims of discrimination" says Dud in the documentary. The creator was even invited to the Russian Parliament to show his documentary. According to AFP news agency, only ‘’a few’’ were present during the screening.

Yuri Dud is a popular YouTuber in Russia who exposes various underexposed subjects with his documentaries. In 2019, for example, Dud made a video viewed by millions of people about the gulags from Stalin's days.
