The independent Shiras Devorah school – which opened last September, has been given lowest rating by the education watchdog Ofsted after the school failed to prepare students for life in ‘modern Britain’.

During the inspection, Ofsted officers found that the school’s leaders ‘do not permit reference to gender reassignment or sexual orientation’ and therefore restricting pupils’ ‘preparation for life in modern Britain'.

Inspectors also found that the students aged from 11 to 12 were not making enough progress in other topics and their standards fell far below expectations for students their ages.
