Russian man claims iPhone made him gay – files lawsuit against Apple

A Russian man has filed a complaint against Apple, because the tech giant ‘’turned him gay’’. He is demanding a compensation of £12,500 for the ‘harm’ the company has caused him: he even has a boyfriend now.

D. Razumilov became curious about homosexuality, when he received 69 GayCoins (a cryptocurrency, just like the Bitcoin) on his iPhone this summer. The anonymous giver also sent a message: “don’t judge without trying”.

That message soon turned his whole life upside down. “I thought, indeed, how can I judge something without trying it?” That is where it all began. In his complaint, published by Govorit Moskva, the man writes he indeed started to experiment with homosexual relationships.

Now, his life would never be the same again, he writes, and Apple is the one to blame. “I can say after the passage of two months that I’m mired in intimacy with a member of my own sex and can’t get out. I have a steady boyfriend and I don’t know how to explain it to my parents.”

The American company pushed him, as he concludes himself, manipulatively toward homosexuality. It caused him “moral suffering and harm to mental health”.  Now he wants one million ruble, circa £12,500, from Apple to compensate the damage the company has done. His lawsuit was registered at the Moscow Court.
