The 18-month young Callie June has stage 4 cancer. She was diagnosed with advanced neuroblastoma on New Year's Day and is currently hospitalized in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her two mothers Tiffany and Albree Shaffer have tried to raise money in every way possible to pay for the expensive treatment Callie needs.

A possible donor who was moved by the story of Callie and was ready to donate $7,600 changed his mind. The reason? He found out that Callie has two mothers. The donor also felt the urge to explain why he would not be donating. "I pray for Callie. I would donate $ 7,600.00 to her fund, but I discovered that her parents are lesbian. I chose to donate to St. Jude as a result. Sorry. I will still pray for her, but maybe it's God's way of getting your attention and saying that she needs a mother and a father, not two mothers. "
