The prosecution blames the boy for discrediting the “whole group of homosexuals” by shouting “In Amsterdam, gay is not normal” to the couple. This can also be seen in the video that the couple, Fabio and Daniel, made.

“It is a great thing in our country to be who you are and to express your feelings. Everyone should be able to walk hand in hand with a loved one in freedom," the prosecutor said during the trial. "Due to the events of April 13, the statements ‘In Amsterdam, gay is not normal’ and the multiple calls of ‘cancer gays’, this freedom is seriously being violated."

The teenager reported to the police a day after the incident. The juvenile judge will make a ruling in two weeks.

In addition to the 15-year-old boy, two men aged 20 and 21 have been arrested. They must appear in court later.

Fabio and Daniel were harassed for the second time in May by a group of young people. The couple filed a report for this incident as well.
