India's first open gay prince is committed to tackle down HIV throughout the country. Now he is mainly focused on Mumbai; appointed by the prince as the "Gay capital of India".

This week Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil launched his new campaign with "Impulse" in Mumbai, an international group promoting sexual well-being, using methods supported by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF).

The prince said: ‘Through Impulse we plan to organize events in Mumbai to mobilize the LGBTQ community to come together and have voluntary HIV testing done’.

The prince launched this new project and started it off with a big party on Saturday. With this project he hopes to encourage LGBT people throughout the country. He plans to organize more events to spread this important message. More parties, events and film festivals are therefore on the way.
