The India Times reports that the kidnapper and his victim met Saturday evening to eat something in a restaurant. A few hours later, two other men showed up. They assisted the suspect in abducting the minor to a nearby jungle.  When they arrived there, the gang used the teenage boy’s phone to call his parents, demanding a five million rupee (€63.000) ransom. The boy’s family immediately contacted the local authorities.

Ten hours later, the police happened upon the location of the boy and his kidnappers. A police response vehicle noticed a broken down car which matched the location of the boy’s phone. This resulted in the arrest of the 24-year-old man and the rescue of the boy. The other two suspects managed to flee and are yet to be found.

The police are trying to find out whether the man had targeted anybody else through Grindr.
