Tomi Lahren attacks the LGBT+ community on Twitter

28/02/2019 12:14

‘’A walking piece of political art every time I show up. To challenge expectations.’’ This is why Billy Porter wore a tuxedo dress at The Oscars last Sunday.

Not everyone fell in love with Porter's red carpet appearance however and right-wing Fox News host Tomi Lahren was one of those people. Lahren has made controversial remarks before, such as comparing the Black Lives Matter movement to the KKK-clan and referring to Caitlyn Jenner in a transphobic manner.

In several Tweets, Tomi expressed her views on Billy Porter’s memorable appearance at the Oscars: “Yes, men are now wearing dresses on the red carpet to stick it to masculinity. Welcome to Lala Liberal Award Show season 2019,”. “I just don’t get this ongoing and continual assault on masculinity by the Left,” she continued

She later claimed that LGBT people can be a proud part of the community and movement, but that it is unnecessary to attack the ‘’traditional man’’ or ‘’traditional marriage’’. Twitter users were not afraid to clap back at Lahren: Or they wear dresses… because they want to wear dresses? Whatever the reason, if masculinity wasn’t so fragile, then all of this wouldn’t have been an issue’’. ‘’If Tomi didn’t find things to get angry about, she wouldn’t have a career.’’
